However, cost is only half the anxiety. The other half is downtime. A migration that demands a long maintenance window is a migration that gets postponed, sometimes for years. Our approach keeps production running through every phase and confines the actual outage to a short, controlled cutover measured in minutes. 

The mechanics combine Oracle Zero Downtime Migration (ZDM) and GoldenGate for continuous database replication with Matilda’s automated landing-zone provisioning, configuration and testing. Bulk data is copied while the source stays live; changes are streamed continuously to keep the OCI target in lockstep; the target is validated in parallel with production; and the cutover simply redirects traffic once everyone is confident. Reverse replication is retained afterwards, so rollback is instant if it is ever needed. The result is business continuity by design, not by hope.
