Near-Zero-Downtime Multi-Cloud Migration

Enabling the Accelerated and Zero Downtime Migration to OCI, AWS, Azure or Google Cloud — at near-zero risk with Our Engineering Expertise

Enterprises rarely choose to stay on a single cloud anymore. Some workloads belong to OCI for Oracle-grade databases and Exadata while others thrive on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud for their data, AI, and app-platform capabilities. However, the endless hard questions are the same across all these platforms – what will move the cost, how long will we be down, and who can run it later?

In this insightful article, I am going to give you a clear strategy based on a one cloud-agnostic model – a near-zero-downtime migration to whichever cloud fits the workload, delivered through a single Migration Factory and backed by DZ Suite.

One Platform, Any Cloud

Because Matilda and the Migration Factory are cloud-agnostic, the same delivery model covers the migration patterns enterprises face, and the right answer is often a mix.

  • Data Center Exit: Retire a legacy data center and lift-and-shift the estate to the target cloud of choice.
  • Cloud-to-Cloud Rebalance: Move workloads between OCI, AWS, Azure and GCP to optimise cost, performance and contractual fit.
  • Best-Fit Placement: Place each workload on the cloud that serves it best rather than forcing everything onto one.
  • Exadata Multi-Cloud: Keep Oracle database power where it performs while interconnecting with OCI, Azure, AWS and GCP.

Near-Zero Downtime — On Whichever Cloud

Long maintenance windows are what get migrations postponed. Our approach keeps production live through every phase and confines the outage to a short, controlled cutover, the same discipline regardless of destination.

The mechanics blend provider-native and change-data-capture replication — Oracle GoldenGate and ZDM for Oracle estates, and the native database migration services on AWS, Azure and GCP — with Matilda’s automated landing-zone provisioning, configuration and parallel testing. Data is copied while the source stays live, changes stream continuously to keep the target current, the environment is validated alongside production, and the cutover simply redirects traffic when everyone is confident. Reverse replication is retained so rollback is instant. Business continuity is designed in, not hoped for.

digi edZe Migration Factory: A 4D Framework

What makes this repeatable across clouds is the Migration Factory, built on a four-stage framework — Define, Design, Deliver, Drive — that industrializes the journey from discovery to steady-state operations.

  • Define: Landscape discovery, assessment and planning, closing with a Joint Engagement Plan.
  • Design: Workload and architecture analysis producing the future-state architecture and a move-groups plan.
  • Deliver: Incremental migration by move groups — migrate, integrate, validate, transition — under continuous governance and a steering committee.
  • Drive: Operate, improve and optimize once workloads reach steady state.

Moving in small, reversible move groups rather than one big-bang event means each wave is testable and low-risk, and feedback from every group compounds quality across the programme, identical mechanics whether the target is one cloud or four.

Integrated Multi-Cloud Managed Services

Managed services are inherently multi-cloud with one operating model, one pane of glass, spanning Oracle, AWS, Google Cloud and Azure.

At the core sit change management, governance, AI-powered automation and 24×7 NOC & SOC, wrapped around performance, consumption, availability and security with FinOps, ITSM & ticketing, security operations and advisory layered on. Powering it is the dZ Suite: dZ Lens, dZ Ops, dZ DB Ops, dZ Trace, dZ Shield, dZ Opti and dZ GaaS, applied uniformly across every cloud so operations move from reactive firefighting to predict-prevent-perfect, and FinOps keeps spend optimised across providers.

Why Digi edZe

  • Multi-Cloud Native: Expertise across AWS, Azure, GCP and Oracle Cloud with a vendor-agnostic delivery model, we recommend the right cloud.
  • AI-First Approach: Every managed service is AI-infused, from AIOps monitoring to intelligent ticketing and predictive analytics.
  • Dedicated Expert Teams: Certified engineers in every domain and every cloud with no shared generalist pools.
  • Outcome-Based SLAs: We tie our success to your KPIs that include uptime, cost reduction and performance.
  • Security-First Culture: Security baked into every service, from zero-trust architecture to DevSecOps.
  • Data-Center Ecosystem Depth: Deep Oracle EBS, Exadata and multi-cloud ERP capability that few managed-service providers’ match.
